On June 25, 1965, VA-25s Lieutenant Charlie Hartman, in the Skyraider on the left, and Lieutenant Clint Johnson in the second AD, bagged a MIG-17 during an engagement over North Vietnam, a headline-making event which produced a new level of respect for the prop-driven attack bomber.
